Rest and Joy

Hey bliggity blog readers! I truly hope and pray that this weekend was restful and joy-filled for you. Rest and Joy. Such immense blessings that our Savior wants for us. I know that he wants them for us because he sweetly instructed us how to find them and soak them up. He's good like that.

"This is what the Lord says: 'Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.'"
Jeremiah 6:16

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior! The Sovereign Lord is my strength."
Habakkuk 3:17-19

Husband and I have been walking through a season of life that seems to be fairly void of anything resembling Rest and Joy. At least that's what Satan is screaming into our minds every day. Many days we tend towards believing him. But the Lord gives us strength to dig our heels in and claim our Salvation and Rest and Joy. We cannot and will not sink into a void of Joy. The days are precious and few. So we encourage each other (sometimes blindly). We go to bed early. We go for walks. He writes. I sew. It is good.

Here's a little snapshot into our restful world for you.

Rest in the form of sewing...
